Associations
Founded in 1919, the National Restaurant Association is the leading business association for the restaurant industry. Together with the HYPERLINK "http://www.nraef.org" National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, the Association's mission is to represent, educate and promote a rapidly growing industry that is comprised of 945,000 restaurant and foodservice outlets employing 13.1 million people.
Biodegradable Products Institute
The Biodegradable Products Institute is a multi-stakeholder association of key individuals and groups from government, industry and academia, which promotes the use, and recycling of biodegradable materials (via composting). The BPI is open to any materials and products that demonstrate that they meet the requirements in ASTM D6400 or D6868, based on testing in an approved laboratory.
U.S. Composting Council
The US Composting Council is involved in research, training, public education, composting and compost standards, expansion of compost markets and the enlistment of public support. The USCC provides resources, educational materials, training, networking, and career advancement opportunities for professionals and all those affiliated with the composting and organics recycling industry. USCC members include compost producers, marketers, generators of organic residues, policy makers, regulators, equipment manufacturers, product suppliers, academic institutions, public agencies, nonprofit groups and consulting/engineering firms.
Printing Industry of Minnesota, Inc.
PIM is the trade association for the second largest segment of the manufacturing industry in Minnesota. More than 300 companies are members of PIM. Membership automatically brings you in contact with more than 14,000 members of Printing Industries of America (PIA), which is the largest graphic arts association in the world.
